Is this a menopause thing or another health thing

Waking up feeling groggy, sort of hungover, heavy headed but without having drunk any alcohol. This isn't everyday but I've noticed it recently.

I've got it this morning. Which is crap because I've taken the day off to get lots of things done.

I also feel like my nose is slightly blocked but I don't have a cold and it doesn't stay throughout the day.

I am almost post menopausal. I had a period recently after going 8 months without 🙄

Is this a point at which women need more estrogen?

I am not sure but I have noticed similar symptoms almost daily - I am in the same situation. I checked thyroid and that was the culprit. Also I took testosterone which has been a life saver.
i wish you well.
(also make sure you eat protein for breakfast and try and have a low trigger environment- no phone, news, people who annoy you or rushing about!). Be well my friend.

Are you on progesterone? That makes me feel like that unless I use the vaginal pessaries

Try taking an antihistamine and see if that helps ease any of the symptoms. Just because you've never had hayfever doesn't mean you never will. I became more sensitive to tree pollen around aged 40 ish, thankfully no reaction to grass pollens.

This was a perimenopause symptom for me - feeling hungover and dreadful some days even if I hadn't touched a drop. That feeling, and a lot of other symptoms, completely disappeared when HRT kicked in

Yes, you would absolutely benefit from HRT, for both medium and long term health benefits

@Fogwood Sounds like you have had a virus- lots going around at the moment.

Blocked nose, (congestion builds up overnight maybe?), headache? feeling tired.

None are usually meno symptoms.
