New menopause drug approved for those unable to take HRT

Just in case anyone misses it - new drug approved which could help those who cannot take HRT:

I didn’t know about this. But liver function check before you start and monthly for the first three months sounds a bit off-putting.

They do this with any new meds - and did with my first HRT prescription (in 2005). They obviously want to check that your body's handling it as intended.
