Hellish start on sequential HRT, does it get better?

Hello

I was prescribed sequential HRT in Jan.

I feel like death and I am hanging by a thread. Headaches heavy dragging fatigue, tearful at small unimportant things, no patience, odd nausea.

I am suspicious of the progesterone patches. I feel so unwell but not ‘ill’ it’s just an awful twilight zone. I barely got through my day at work today - weepy followed by being embarrassed

Do I just need to stick it out?

Lots of people struggle with the type of progesterone that's in the patches and do better with progesterone tablets. Some struggle with both though.

Can you get a coil instead for progesterone?

I am on my first month of evorel sequi. The progesterone part of the cycle has been a bit rubbish. I have felt very tired and getting up has been a struggle. Some nausea and digestive niggles.

No night sweats though and less anxiety.
I think the standard advice would be to try to get through a three month period to let things settle. My worry is that if I just go from one regime to another I will know less about what does or could work.
It is rubbish through , sending sympathy and solidarity

Progesterone was horrendous for me at first - (I am on Urtrogestan tablets)

i so nearly threw in the towel and gave up

so glad I didn’t; after 3-6 months the progesterone phase is my favourite part of the month!

hrt Definitely takes time, it’s easy to understeer or over steer if you change things too fast, so be cautious x
