anyone else had this too ?

I am almost house bound atm because of it. I am up in the night to pee (new symptom too). I can hardly go anywhere or plan anything. I am beyond miserable. This is no quality of life. It is not a UTI as I am experienced with the symptoms of that. I did buy some antibiotics at the start, just to rule out a UTI. They did nothing.

Is this due to the drop in oestrogen (estrogen) ?

I am having to fob friends off with excuses to not go out, for fear of wetting myself

Please get a check for diabetes.

Lottapianos · 27/02/2026 15:46

You need a prescription for vaginal oestrogen. I was weeing frequently day and night, getting up 4-5 times in the night. I started vaginal oestrogen about 3 months ago and now get up once in the night on average. It's made a huge difference

Are you on HRT? I would highly recommend it, although vaginal oestrogen is a localised treatment rather than a systemic one, so you can use it even if you can't take HRT

Can you pee into a jug and record how much you are peeing over a period of time, say 24 hours.
Then tell your GP, polyuria can be a symptom of some diseases so its worth getting checked out.
FYI Average adult passes 2.5-3L a day.

Keep track of how much you are drinking

i find when I slash my intake - the frequent pees become more manageable

I too was going to ask when your last set of bloods were to check for diabetes?

I had candida (thrush) in my urine once so the antibiotics wouldn't have worked. I was going more often than usual but had no signs of thrush at all and it was only picked up when the sample went to the lab. I've never had it beforehand or since!

itsthetea · 27/02/2026 15:51

That’s way not normal

samenamenamesame · 27/02/2026 15:53

@7238SM I've also had external thrush too. It cleared up with a thrush tablet and cream.

I need to get to the Dr
