Perimenopause pains ?

I’ve had 6 hours of really unusual pain in my uterus today. Like a feeling of a needle stabbing me every few mins . Almost prickly at some points . Started and stopped abruptly. I’ve never ever had anything like this at all. My periods are still 28 days but I’m 45 so was thinking is this maybe perimenopause related ?

Today is cycle day 21. I often get cramps just on days 26 and 27 before period starts on day 28 but this was totally different. I’ve been feeling exhausted and had brain fog too the last couple of days. Is it worth a gp apt to discuss HRT or with regular periods will they refuse ?

I think it’s worth going. I am over a decade older and had to learn to advocate for myself for different reasons - I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis aged 46.
The tiredness and brain fog could definitely peri, but if there is pain that’s new I Would get it checked. (That’s not to sound alarming by the way, my periods changed at 45 and it was nothing sinister!)
Going to a GP go armed with a list of symptoms. You are not too young for HRT.
I found Dr Louise Newson’s website helpful.
Try not to worry about the pain - but do get it checked out.
I wish, wish I’d known more but even 8/9 years ago there was far less discussion around menopause.
