Estraderm MX patches

I have just been prescribed HRT
Estraderm MX patches and some progesterone tablets. I'm really struggling with the patches, I haven't got past two days before they fall off. I put one on this morning and tonight it came off after a shower, I knew it would as it had already started to lift so gap let water underneath. Has anyone had this issue ? I’m assuming they are designed to survive a shower as the instructions are to change the patch every 3 -4 days and I can’t go that long without a shower. Is it an issue with all brands or is it worth me asking to be prescribed a different brand? I dot know whether to replace the patch that falls off, as I’m worried I will be getting too much if I have fresh patch each day. Any advice welcome. Thanks
ps I have tried warming the patch before placing it and my skin is dry and free from lotions etc

Where are you placing the patches? Mine are on my bum and usually stay put.

Which part of your body are you sticking them on? Mine peeled off from my upper thigh in hours but stay on perfectly until I peel them off when I stick them to my lower stomach. I’ve been doing this for a couple of years now.

They’re hit and miss in my experience. sometimes mine stay on really well, other times they come off within a day. They’re marginally better than everol patches. I just put another one on. They’re slow release so you won’t be getting an extra dose as such. The biggest pain is I usually run out before I can do a repeat prescription so have to faff around making a special request to get them earlier.

Estradot patches are generally considered the best for adhesion - they're small too. They cope with being submerged for hours in the bath or when swimming. The only issue is that there are often supply issues so you may have problems getting your prescription dispensed. I've tried other brands and they cause irritation. One brand was a massive crinkly patch which was like trying to stick a small crisp packet to your skin.

I tried the top of thigh first but thought maybe taking trousers up and down when going to the bathroom might not help so tried my bum this morning and it fell off this evening after my shower.
