Night waking's but no other symptoms

I'm 38 so I feel I'm probably too young to be going through perimenopause but for the past month I will wake up randomly during the night and then be wide awake and not get back to sleep which has never happened before. I'm on the pill which I take back to back and also have started having random spotting, only a tiny bit and not very often but never had this before either. Anyone have similar symptoms and it was peri?

Have you been doing dry January or any other health kicks? That can impact sleep considerably.

Tbh night wakings are quite common and can start at any age for many reasons. Stress, too much caffeine, too much booze, not enough physical activity to wear you out so I'd look at those issues first before thinking it is hormonal. It may be but addressing lifestyle issues first would be best before worrying about peri.

@Swaytheboat thank you, I don't drink and haven't done any health kicks. If anything it's the opposite as I can't stop eating junk food and gaining weight rapidly

@Janiie thank you. I don't drink and only have 1 caffein beverage a day but I definitely don't get much physical exercise so I could try increasing that

I think I’d try lots of other things first to see if it can be fixed.

So magnesium glycinate before bed. No screens for a hour before bed. Meditation in the day helps. Getting up and going to bed at the same time. Morning sunlight in your eyes as soon as you get up. No caffeine after lunch.

If none of these things work then you could start looking at hormones.
I wish I had known you
can actually take a progesterone pill
for sleep without taking oestrogen.

I didn’t sleep for years and years.
HRT fínally fixed it but you are still
reasonably young so I’d
try other things first.
