Post menopausal and I'm having permanent PMS type symptoms from Mirena coil - how can I counter them?

I had a coil fitted in November/December and have just realised that I have permanent PMS type symptoms - depressed, anger, irritability, sore boobs, exhaustion, bloating and anxiety. They've kind of crept up on me. I am also bleeding a fair bit now.

I knew I was progesterone intolerant, but the consultant assured me that this would be the best form of progesterone for me as its localised. Short of removing the coil, is there anything I can do to reduce the symptoms? I'm already on citalopram for anxiety which predates the coil (and was related to an incident in my life) so I don't think the answer is to up the dose.

Will it just settle down (the Louise Newsome site says the PMS symptoms go after 6 months or so - which gives me 4 more months of feeling like this!)? If you have experience of this, please can you tell me what works for you?

(I've already tried utrogestan which was still pretty hellish for me).

I can now add acne to the list of symptoms. Can anyone advise? I'm seeing the dr today and am not sure what to say to her (I don't think she's the menopause specialist in the practice).
