Vagifem AND Estriol internally - is this right?

I had a good GP apt last week and came away and an array of meds. I have a prolapse, bladder issues, dryness and some atrophy. She has given me Vagifem to be inserted nightly and also Estriol which I assumed was external cream but leaflet says to be inserted at nighttime too.

is that right? Two things internally at night?

I also have some Dermovate for external use for vaginal atrophy and lichen sclerosis (joy!).

I’m wondering if all this needs using separately or all three at bedtime??

I'm assuming that the vagifem is inserted nightly and the estriol is for the outside of your bits. I use vegifem myself ..... lifesaver.

I have that, one’s internal and one’s external- works brilliantly

Having had the same issues personally I found the dermovate useless.

estriol can be used internally but also to rub into outside of vagina around the vulva to ease soreness and irritation. I found it very helpful.

I haven’t used vagifem but I do use estrogen Pessary sans they have been a game changer in my vagina related woes

I would go hard and heavy on the estriol externally, before I tried dermovate.

My GP gave me dermovate, my private gynae said she was wrong and I needed to use estriol liberally. Which worked.

If i don't use it for a few days I have to smother myself again.

I also have prolpase and I had horrific atrophy, now I'm healthy and pink and generally very happy!

I use a tube of estriol every week.

Can't comment on the Internal one, I've never used it

Do you use it externally once or twice a day? My gp has given me two tubes to use externally “as needed” and I don’t know what that means!

I used it once a day to start with. Liberally.

I use an amount the size of a large grape. Inside and out.
