Did HRT make your hair grow?

Just started HRT gel, one pump but think I’ll increase to two pumps.
I was just wondering if anyone had noticed their hair condition improved? This isn’t why I went on HRT but I’m hoping this might be a welcome side effect as I’ve struggled with my hair for years. The only time it ever grows is when I’m pregnant.

I started HRT a year ago this month and unfortunately no change at all for me it is still very thin. My estrogen has just been increased again this month, would love for it to help my hair!

Well this is odd I was wondering this too as my hair is much better since taking HRT but I'm also taking a hair supplement so maybe it's a combination

I’ve also started taking a hair supplement at the same time so if I do see any difference I’ll be unsure what has helped. Has your hair got longer?

Ah that’s a shame no difference for you.

I was going a bit thin at the temples, but I’m not now.

@Tinkerbell7777, it's got longer and also thicker overall..I've been taking Hair and me and also switched shampoo etc so hard to say what's made it better but will continue!

I've always had very fine hair, but since starting HRT it's got thicker according to my hairdresser. It's a very positive side effect for me.

My hair started to curl when hit peri. Since I’ve been on HRT that stopped but my hair is definitely thicker! Can’t say I’ve noticed it growing faster though. It’s tied up a lot so maybe I’ve just not noticed.

At last a post on MN that I can add proper value to.
I started hrt last March. Within 2 weeks I started to shed hair. This shedding lasted until about October/November so about 7 months when I reducing my evorel patch size to see if it would help. I cut it to 2/3rds size.

The hair loss was exactly like post partum hairloss, even, all over. No bald patches.

I am still on 2/3rd of a patch and 1 utrogestan. The hair loss massively reduced and I now have loads of new hair growth.

I dont know if it was the hrt that triggered the shedding or if it was the reducing the patch that solved it but I thought someone might find my experience useful.
