Eye Twitch after starting HRT

Hi everyone, I started Oestrogel about four weeks ago and two weeks I developed an eye twitch in my eye that is not going away. My eyes also feel quite dry.
This all only started after I started HRT. It’s driving me mad and I’m not sure it’s worth it.
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Lots of things can cause eye twitching and it's probably unrelated to HRT. Get some drops for your dry eyes and if things don't improve see your optician.

To me twitching suggests general tiredness and dry eyes suggests tired eyes from overuse of screens, reading in a poor light etc. It is common as we age apparently, so might coincide with needing HRT. That said, dry eyes is no joke, so trust your instincts.

I've been on HRT since October, and my right eye has been twitching since mid December.
I don't think they're related, although it is extremely annoying!

I went to the optician just there and he said it is more than likely due to starting HRT. He said any time you introduce something new into your body that your body isn’t really liking it can cause your nerve in your eye to start twitching. He gave me some drops and said it should settle down once my body gets used to the HRT.
