Is it best to wait until I have a few days off work or start immediately?
I have oestrogen gel and progesterone tablets, I also have a mirena. One pump of gel it says
(I know most women don’t need the progesterone with the mirena but I do)
prescribed off symptoms mostly anxiety, panic, loss of confidence driving etc and I’m 41

I had only positive effects, my night sweats stopped within a couple of days.

Has anyone had any negative side affects with the progesterone tablets, i’m bit worried having read some posts on here. Only a week into the patches, so another week yet before i start utrogesten.

I’m quite enjoying the relaxation they bring at night! They make me a bit dopey is the only way I can describe it, if my insomnia is bad I’m lying there happily rather than worrying I can’t sleep

I no longer wake up at 3.30am every morning which is a big relief. Also my skin is less spotty and hair and skin less oily. My hair has some bounce again!

did have some breakthrough bleeding in the first couple of weeks which has settled now. Also increased hunger which I’m hoping settles down. Was loving my menopause weight loss 😂

The only negative I’ve had with progesterone has been occasional acne. But that could also be because of a natural dip in my oestrogen at that time.
overall only positives to report!

My menopausal skin may be sagging but at least it’s not spotty now! I really hope HRT doesn’t return me to spotty skin or encourage weight gain. I’m the heaviest I have ever been already and that includes during pregnancy but there’s no babies to show for it now!

So I am now fat and angry. Women get such a rough deal.

How are you getting on with the HRT now?

How are you getting on with the HRT now?

It’s made a huge difference
last dentist visit - terrified, panic attack after and felt like I couldn’t swallow which went on for hours (just a filling)
dentist visit this week - no panic, sat through a full root canal
the progesterone means I’m actually sleeping like a log as well so very glad I have that every night! I feel much more chilled and relaxed

Great to hear it’s going well.
