Mad dreams on progesterone

Did anyone else have really vivid dreams on progesterone? I’ve never dreamt so much!! Does it calm down? Seem to have better sleep in general on it but the dreams are so vivid and weird.

I did! I now take it in the a.m because mine were nightmares & really disturbing. It didn’t make me sleepy anyway so was no loss there but have read it can cause mad dreams/nightmares!

I did for the first few months, to the point where I felt like giving up with it. It vastly improved after a couple of months and I actually find I look forward to my 2 weeks of it now as it gives me a really good night's sleep!

I think I’ll try that!! I found it great in every other way so far. Just crazy dreams!!

I’ve been on daily progesterone, taken at night, since the end of June and am sleeping so much better after years of poor sleep.

The vivid dreams verging on horrible dreams have been very unsettling at times but now, reading this thread, I’ve realised they are less and less. I’m still having dreams but they’re manageable.

Same here, sleep is much better, was waking up with a racing heart (checked out) and doom feelings which has gone thankfully. Glad you feel it’s getting better regarding weird dreams. I almost feel like it’s a big fishing net dredging and sorting old memories and some mornings I’ve thought blimey, a bit tiring to keep processing but feel better for the deeper sleep.
