Missed my monthly progesterone start date by 9 days - bleeding - take it anyway?

I'm 51. On 2 pumps on estrogen daily & Ugesterone for half the month. My calendar alarm to start it the progesterone didn't go off so I started 9 days late. I'm now 3 days into taking it and getting my usual period.

I know progesterone is to stop the womb lining building up, but if I'm now bleeding anyway? Skip the rest of this months progesterone course or keep taking it?

Thnx

I can only tell you what ChatGPT told me when I think I screwed up my progesterone and started bleeding like a period halfway through my cycle. It told me to treat the bleed like a withdrawal bleed and take my hormones as usual which is what I’ve done. No idea if that was good advice but it’s what I have done.

ChatGPT is useless for medical advice. It constantly makes errors.
