How to switch to continuous progesterone

Hello, my GP has said that since I'm 55+ I can switch from taking utrogestan for 12 days each month to taking one tablet, every day.
Does anyone know when I can start to do this, or does it not really matter? I finished my last 12-day course almost a week ago.

You can start taking it every day now, or you can start your next course and just continue it.

Thank you, that's helpful. I realised I'd come out of the appointment with lots of questions!

I came on here with this exact question. I'm on sequential and on day 24 of cycle which would normally mean two days left of progesterone but doc said a few days ago I'm ready to move to continuous. Should I have this breakthrough bleed/period given the lining will have built up earlier this month then switch to coninuous? Like you OP don't know why I didn't ask the question while doc was in front of me 😬
