Just started a period but thought I was in menopause - is this normal for HRT?

I have been on HRT patches for a month and just got a period - is this common or is it something that needs investigating?

Well it depends. How long had your periods stopped for before starting the patches? What patch do you have? How old are you?

It’s not unusual to bleed within 6 months of starting HRT.

About 14 months before patches.

which patch is it? some are designed to give a monthly bleed. The leaflet in the pack should tell you and your GP should have told you.
