Increased muscle pain after starting HRT - anyone?

Hi, I’m 4 yrs post menopause and already suffer from chronic pain so things are often not straightforward.

i am sensitive to med changes so started really low a week and a half ago on 1/2 an Evorel 25 patch only . Went up to full 25 patch 4 days ago and widespread muscle pain developed (definitely the estrogen). I’m due to add in utrogestan (vaginally) this week but I’m already worried about the estrogen side effects when this is the part that is meant to help with muscle /joint pain!

I’m aware that utrogestan will most likely be an even bigger issue but really don’t want to give up already based on difficulty with estrogen . Has this happened to anyone? Is it likely to get better?

thanks

Bumping for you. I’m on the same as you but tbh it eased my muscle ache considerably. Where’s the pain is it all over? What’s your exercise look like ?

Hi thanks - yes a lot of places. There’s no doubt it’s the hrt. I just don’t know if it’s likely to go? This is making me more sedentary than I was pre hrt…
