How do I know I’m done with menopause?

43 but no periods for two years and blood tests show this to be the case eg hormone levels. How do you know you are out of menopause when you’ve had it early, because usually people say it takes a decade etc but that seems to be more the case if periods stop in your 50s. I’m confused!

Can’t take hrt due to it causing bleeding and unmanageable nausea. Feel certain symptoms like itchy skin, skin crawling, low mood and meh with life feeling, but that could also not be menopause.

You are now post menopause as you have gone 2 years no periods.
You also describe all the symptoms of menopause. These don't always 'go away' with age, some women have them for decades unless they use hrt.

But- and this is really important- you should be on HRT. You've had an early and almost premature menopause ( first is before 45, second is before 40.)
This is medical guidance.

You have an increased risk of osteoporosis, heart disease and dementia. But this can all be prevented with HRT. You should go back to your GP, ask to be referred to a gynaecologist specialising in early menopause IF your GP can't help you with finding the right HRT.

It can take a few types and doses. Nausea usually means the estrogen dose is too high, so it's better to start low. Bleeding can be controlled well with the Mirena coil. What types did you try before?
