Away (not UK) for 4 night break and never packed prog tablets! WWYD?

We’re Away for a four night break (Germany) and I’ve forgotten my progesterone tablets.
Have been on HRT for about 6 years, various regimes so understand I need these for uterus protection since am on estrogel.
question is: do I still take my gel (2 pumps a day) or not take gel since I’ve got no progesterone tablets? I have a mirena coil, aged 56 and not period symptoms for maybe 18 months.
Thougths, views and recommendations welcome. And yes, could go to pharmacy so that is an option but just after thoughts on what others would do without having to spend a day finding suitable pharmacy for maybe 3 x100mg tablets.
TIA

How old is your coil? The Mirena contains progesterone - my specialist said if I have a coil I don’t need extra progesterone

Quite old one…maybe 5 years?

Pretty sure mirena is now valid for 10 years and you don’t need extra progesterone with it. I’m on gel with a mirena and I don’t have progesterone separately.

In Spain I required my prescription copy which I managed to get a copy emailed and my global health card and insurance

Hi, I’m on the same regime although many years past meno. (Note to other posters comments about not needing prog if mirena, sometimes you do need the extra if you have proliferative lining). On the odd occasion when I have forgotten to take the extra prog, I will start spotting after 4 days then once I start the prog it will cause the extra lining to shed so I’ll have a small bleed. So I wouldn’t worry about not taking the prog for 4 days, esp as you have a mirena, it’s more the issue with spotting once you start them again. Might just be easier to buy a pack of liners to cover you on the way home.

Missing it for one cycle won't cause an issue, the risk of a build up of tissue would be over a longer time period. I read up on this when I had the same circumstance.

I don’t think a German pharmacy would be allowed to issue you with the tablets without a prescription from a doctor, and that would be a real faff. But I agree with a pp that a gap of just a few days won‘t lead to your womb lining getting overly thick.

@MrsPerfectlyFine You already have the Mirena coil so you don't need micronised progesterone as well (unless your Dr has prescribed this as well, for a different reason.) OR if it's a very old coil.

It may be worth going to see your GP and having a review.
The Mirena coil works for 5 years as HRT (and 8 years as contraception.)

Maybe you and your GP need to decide which form of progesterone you need. At 56 you don't need a coil for contraception, so it's a case of whether you want another one as part of HRT.

Thanks all. Decided not to stress about the four night miss and just restart once I’m home. Have a smear, bloods and HRT review with GP 15th dec so feel comfy with that.
Thanks for all your responses ☺️👍🏼
