Help, I’m sure I smell!

I get awful night sweats, I’m on HRT which has reduced them a bit, but I wake most nights soaked in sweat.
My usual deodorant/body care is fine for my body, but I’m certain that my scalp/hair roots smell, it’s not a BO smell, more like a rotting smell, it’s vile!
I wash my hair every day because of this, and at night I tie it up in a bun, but the smell is horrible and I don’t know what to do??

Have you tried changing shampoo? I am perimenopausal and the struggle is real. I also opted for deodorant that you put on the evening before. Carry feminine wipes and deodorant. A friend of mine changed shampoo as the shampoo she was using had a chemical in it. Maybe worth looking into. There’s some really good groups on Facebook too. Good luck 🤞

It might just be rhsg tour sense of smell has got more sensitive. It is a common symptom of the menopause. Could you ask a friend or family member?

Try Nizoral shampoo. You might have a fungal infection

You could try glycolic acid and a scalp massager to make sure that's really clean.

From experiences and reading, it seems theses changes in smell are temporary across peri/menopause and will pass.
