Hip and joint pain

I have hip and joint pain which is worse in the evening. I take HRT. I’m not overweight. Are there any ideas medical or otherwise to alleviate the pain.

Have you spoken to your GP about the pain? Is it both sides or random? Have you had blood tests taken to see if it’s anything other than OA wear and tear?
id say use ivupeofen but id be inclined to see the doctor for bloods and better pain meds as ibuprofen is crappy for your gut long term and not as good as say naproxen

I take collagen, I know there’s no evidence for this but it helps me. If I don’t take it then I have hip and knee pain, if I do it’s much reduced (knee pain vanishes). Mine is worse in the mornings though, might be worth a try if you can afford it. (I take ancient and brave true collagen).

I sometimes get horrible hip and knee pains at night, usually I have to take painkillers to get to sleep.
Already taken HRT, collagen and turmeric. Healthy anti inflammatory diet, regular exercise. I just think that dropping hormone levels together with the usual drop in cortisol overnight make it worse.
I'm just hoping it calms down once I'm over peri!

See a physio and work on strengthening the glutes.

most likely they will suggest side planks and Pilates oysters moves, and perhaps some banded movements. But best to see a physio.

magnesium spray can also be helpful. You can make your own which is a lot cheaper in the long run
