Hi I wonder if anyone can help me as im driving myself mad. Im 47 and in perimenopause. I also suffer from PMDD so my moods were horrendous. I was given HRT but was scared to take it. So the doctor put me on desomono a type of mini pill. Ive been taking it for nearly three months and ive got to admit my mood has improved alot. I still have mood swings but not anywhere near as bad. My only problem is I suffer from severe health anxiety. And my fear of blood clots is terrifying me. Ive suffered from a very painful knee and calf pain that used to come and go. It started playing up again a week or two before I started on desomono and since then its never went away. Im worried its a blood clot but my doctor who must be sick of looking at me thinks its the arthritis in my knee and my varicose veins. My leg is nice and cool. It feels swollen but its not. Its just painful . When the doctir moved my leg on Wednesday I nearly started crying. She assured me that the mini pill she put me on dosent increase the risk of blood clots and woman with a history of blood clots and strokes can take it. And my leg pain isnt a clot as its been to long now to be a clot.Is anyone else on desomono have leg pain ? I like the fact my mood is much better but I cant take the constant worry about my leg pain and blood clots x
