Evorel and anxiety

Anyone have worse anxiety when on Evorel oestrogen only patches?
I went on a low dose 31/2 months ago to help with anxiety, but have felt much worse. I am on 25mcg and doc thought it might help me. The thought of upping the dose to 50 terrifies me as am so bad on 25mcg.

Yes. I came off it for that reason. I was OK for 2 weeks but had to take a progesterone tablet too - and it hit me like a train. I was a sobbing, irrational mess, it was awful. I stopped taking it after that. I know I need to go back to the docs ideally but my symptoms are pretty mild so I haven't made it a priority.

Speak to your GP, maybe a different treatment would be better for you - or an even lower dose.

I just don’t know what to do, go up, go down or come off altogether!

Yes and no, it helped my constant background anxiety but at certain points during my cycle (seems to coincide with when my own estrogen would be spiking or raising) i get a very distinct wired but tired feeling but I’m giving it another month (1.5 months in) to see if it levels out. Have just reduced caffeine and that is helping.

I have bitten the bullet and made an appointment with a menopause specialist for next week. I have also researched it and apparently having a dose of oestrogen that it too low can adversely affect the brain and cause anxiety, increasing the dose usually sorts this problem out. I had a hysterectomy in 2017 so have not had to take progesterone,
It will be interesting to hear what the doctor says about this, I will post again after I have seen her.
