Evorel 50 rather than 100?

I tried sequential HRT a couple of years ago. Only had it for a couple of months then stopped because I got out of sync.
Over this past year I’ve had tests due to a thickened wound lining. All fine, so have now gone back onto HRT. This time it’s continuous (thankfully!). No periods for over 2yrs.

So, to the point! Last time I was prescribed Evorel 100. This time Evorel 50. I only realised this when I found my old box of patches.

What would the reason be for this? Is 50 a low dose? I only started on Monday so I can’t really comment on effects / changes / benefits so far. Other than the progesterone does seem to be helping with sleep.

My GP started me on 50 in the summer, with a view to reassess after 3 months and could increase if needed.
My hot flushes & night waking stopped within 2 weeks.

Were you started on 100 the last time? 50 is a more usual starting point.

I must have been as I definitely didn’t get to the three month review point.

That’s helpful, thanks!
