HRT (Lenzetto) before menopause?

Has anyone taken Lenzetto during peri? Is this common? I have just been prescribed this and all of the info says that it is for women whose periods stopped at least 6 months ago. Do they all just say this?

Had an in-depth talk with the specialist at my surgery and she knew exactly what my situation was. The leaflet also seems to focus on it being a treatment for hot flushes, which I don't yet have (only night sweats).

I was prescribed Lenzetto at 45 and was still having periods then (albeit infrequent/irregular). I also don’t and didn’t have hot flushes. My main symptoms were hand stiffness/rubbish grip and horrendous anxiety. It’s done wonders for both of those symptoms so hopefully it will help you.

It was really interesting to read this, because I had no idea it was officially only for the post-menopaused. Just goes to show I obviously didn’t read the leaflet 😬😂

To add, I think night sweats are probably just a night time version of hot flushes, so hopefully it will help alleviate those.

Thanks, it's the anxiety and early wakefulness/sleep that I'm really struggling with this year! Glad it has helped you so much!

It’s the same as the hrt gel, it’s just in a spray form.

Thanks @LazyLaurel- hope you get some relief from your symptoms too. 🙏

Yes, I’ve been prescribed it because I didn’t get on with the gel or the patch. I didn’t bother reading the leaflet for this one. I find the application much easier and I seem to absorb it better too.

@LazyLaurel Lenzetto is just a spray oestrogen. It's not a "medicine for hot flashes" specifically - it helps your body by providing it with extra oestrogen that your body is making less of - hence, night sweats and early wakings - two very typical meno symptoms. And night sweats ARE hot flashes.

It is surprising the leaflet says it's for those who had not had periods for 6mo - as women often experience symptoms way earlier. The text is probably because the meds were originally tested on that population of women, so they had to put it this way legally. So, if you are having symptoms caused by fluctuating hormones, and decided on HRT - then replacing the lacking hormone is the only approach. BTW - if you still have your uterus, the doctor also prescribed progesterone?

For reference - my symptoms lifted about a week into starting HRT. Good luck to you!
