Can sepsis or covid stop HRT working? X

Hi all 👋 I had been on hrt for a year and it was working well, plenty of energy, mood good and brain fog lifted, until i had sepsis in april and then recently covid. i can accept my energy is low and that i need more rest due to having been ill but my mood is so low that im struggling to get out of bed, or get through the day without crying. Which is what i was like before hrt.
So im just wondering if other people have noticed if their HRT stopped working after an illness/infection?

I have no medical knowledge at all so just anecdotally with hindsight I feel this happened to me with Covid the first time (before I hadn’t any hormone problems, after everything changed and I needed to go on HRT) There are ACE receptors (I think they’re called) in various parts of your body and including in your ovaries, that Covid targets. It makes sense that hormone systems can be disrupted by viruses.
