37 and Perimenopause?

As stated above I'm 37 and convinced I'm in perimenopause. My periods have become irregular, usually getting a week later and later at a time but this month 10 days early. I find I'm much more irritable, my interest in sex has massively declined, my body is starting to just feel different, don't know how else to explain it. I had sepsis last year and had night sweats but these seem to have remained. They tapered off briefly but returned not too long after. I also find I'm getting headaches far more frequently.

I don't really have a 'village', my mum isn't in my life, nor is my sister. My aunties probably wouldn't have the discussion with me, as they're in their 70s. I just feel so weird about it. I don't really know what to expect or if I should see anyone about it. Do I just sit back and let my body decline and lean into it? I don't feel mentally ready or old enough to be here just yet.

How is your health in general?

I had/have the same issue and even started completely missing periods for months. I thought it was perimenopause too.

I was ill in August and started taking a multivitamin and fish oil and I've had 2 periods since then, so it looks like I just had a deficiency.

I did mention it to my GP earlier this year when it had been 3 months since my last period, but he said he wouldn't look into it until it got to 6 months. I'm 36.

@Imperfectpolly I have long-standing iron deficiency that has gone on for years but I don't feel these symptoms are connected to that. I get so much brain fog and have become very forgetful. For instance, I can look at a cup and know it's call a cup, 10 minutes later I may have completely forgotten the name of it. My sleep pattern is becoming disturbed too. I will look into multivitamins though, thank you. Thank you for commenting, I didn't realise this is something we'd go through in our 30s.

I m 46 now, and in v late stage perimenopause, it started at 37. It can be a long, bumpy process. Eat well, get exercise, get sunlight into your eyes early in the morning.

Dr. Marie Clair haver (?), has some good u tube videos. Google perimenopause, the zone of chaos (😅😅).

Mine started at that age, took a while to pinpoint the cause of the symptoms.
But after sepsis, it could be hormones out of whack or could be another underlying health issue. With night sweats, please see your GP.
All the advice above is helpful, exercise, sleep, healthy eating, drink lots of water, and try Floridax and Menopace to replenish iron/vitamin levels. Avoiding alcohol can help too, sadly.
