Hi
I'm peri on HRT, mid forties and currently not working (live abroad) but I can not get motivated. Is this normal? sort of drift round the house all day not really achieving anything but needing things to do ie housework, gardening etc.
My DDs just gone to uni and I feel lost, I dont know how to sort myself out!
I have never been like this, I had a professional job and lead a busy life.
Its very weird.

Yes I feel exactly the same, I’m not on HRT though, I’ve had the day off work and I’ve done nothing, just can’t be bothered, I went food shopping this morning because I have to eat I suppose, was meant to come back and do housework but I’ve just sat on the sofa all afternoon I need to sort myself out too! It’s so hard though I do sympathise, don’t really have an answer sorry just wanted to say I know how you feel.

Yep, very much the same. Not currently working (gave up after a breakdown last summer- caused by perimenopause…??) and just can’t get motivated to do any of the many many jobs that need doing or fun/nice things I could do instead. I started HRT 3 months ago though and I do have more glimmers of motivation than I had previously so am hoping for a bit more vavavoom again in the future!

I was really feeling the same but wanted to try something more natural before thinking about HRT and came across a Menopause supplement from Doctor Seaweed. Over the past 2 months my energy levels are definitely up and I'm feeling much more like myself. Everyone is different but I really recommend!

Yep, same. So much to do and zero motivation. Is it worth giving HRT a go at this stage?

urgh snap

mid forties ,not in hrt as want to wait as long as possible before another hormone (already on thyroxine and I just know the hrt will affect t the balance of that)

I procrastinate more than I ever have.

im currently working three full days but last week and this week doing four days and it wrecked me last week so dreading this week

ive spent months eating crap and have gained so much weight it’s ridiculous.

ive dug out my waist trainer spinny thingy and my walking pad this weekend as I really need to set my shit out now as I feel dreadful heavy and achy 90% of the time.

I’ve started taking menopace supplements and am going to bed earlier as I’m waking up at 4 every fucking day 🤨
