Day 364 and my period starts : {

So close!

This seems most unfair and I would like to know how to lodge a complaint or appeal the situation (light-hearted)

Ouch ! My friend went 10 months and thought she was home & dry ( excuse the pun !)

Yeah, had gone 9 months before my last one and was pretty annoyed then!

Oh can you believe that OP. Surely it counts as menopause if more months without than with and one day short of a full year

…and here I am searching MN tonight for advice as I’m now on day 40, no bleed for nearly two cycles, the longest stretch I’ve gone and thought I might feel good for it, but I feel horrendous, quite swollen/puffy all over and my mood is so very low. I’ve avoided the family most of today as I feel like I’m might cry for no explainable reason, but not angry as though I’m about to start a period.
Do things lift a bit the longer you go on without- or can it be like this for a while, in your experience of 364 days @AnotherYearToGo ?

Sorry, I had a few years of just skipping a month or two

This happened to me too mine was light bleeding and lasted a good six weeks. A similar thing happened to my sister’s too and a friend went a whole year then had an extremely heavy one and noticed since.

I went 6 months without one, then really sore boobs, massive cold sore and a week long bleed, quite sore, all the usual complaints.

That was a month ago, no bleed this month, but achey body, tired, washed out, dry burning lips, I can feel a tingle at the site of a previous, very painful cold sore. I m pumping the lycene into me. Hopefully it won't erupt. I m having a cycle but there is no lining to shed.

I expect I ll build up a tiny amount of lining over the next few months. Possibly will have a few more bleeds before the ovaries completely shrivel up and pack it in. I m 46 🙄🙄.

I m noticing more wrinkles, fine lines and dry, dry hair. A delight.
