Nervous to start progesterone tonight

Can anyone reassure me, I’ve had such a terrible time with anxiety during perimenopause. My gp prescribed me estrogen 50 patch and cyclical progesterone tablets 200mg a night. I’ve finally felt like myself again the past couple of weeks, like someone has turned the volume down on this awful anxiety (amongst other symptoms that are fading) but now I am anxious to take this progesterone tonight - everyone seems to say negative things about it. Is it that bad? What were everyone’s experiences on it taking it as above? Thank you.

I love the 14 days I take progesterone- I sleep so much better and am less anxious. Not everyone reacts negatively to progesterone, so give it a go.

What are the negatives? What are the positives? Does knowing that put it in to context?

Thank you, that’s what I’ve been thinking tonight.

Okay just because only the negative threads about this hormone are updated just coming back to update.

Was absolutely fine, 200mg at night cycling with evorel 50 patch twice a week. Puts me to sleep in a nice way, calm and deep sleep.

Was groggy the first day so would recommend an easy day if possible the first time you take it, wore off about 2pm.

Felt really calm on the first day of taking it, very hungry but could be just me!

Really takes the edge off jitters and weird disassociation feeling I was having when estrogen was surging up and then dropping.

Merry Christmas all.
