HRT weight gain but not all over

Since starting oestrogel I have gained nearly 2 inches on my hips and gone up 3 cup sizes. Back size has stayed exactly the same. I've been post meno for 2 years, starting on lenzetto spray which didn't have the same effect but didn't do anything for joint pain which was my main symptom.
Whilst I'm aware that it isnt supposed to cause weight gain, I find it odd that it so specifically has gone on in those two areas alone. I hate how I look now and despite exercise etc it's not shifting off my boobs. Anyone else experienced this?

The progesterone I started on - Utrogestan, had this effect for me - my breast swelled terribly and I had awful Bloating. As soon as I switched to the Mirena, it all settled down and in conjunction with a strict diet for a few weeks, I went back to normal.

What progestogen do you use?

Utrogestan. Mirena gave me horrendous head pressure pain and spasms in my neck along with anger! That's interesting though as I've just increased the prog in line with the gel.

Ah! We all suit different types I suppose!

So you aren't sure if it's the change in type of oestrogen or increase in progesterone. Did those change at the same time?

Yes both at same time. The start of the huge boob and hip era was the gel though. I'd used utrogestan with the spray.
