Improvement in hot flashes after using wegovy?

I recently signed up with shemed and they put me on wegovy. I didn't think much of it first, just went with the flow, but recently have been reading up about how wegovy is beneficial to menopausal women https://www.news-medical.net/health/Semaglutide-and-weight-loss-in-menopause.aspx . It does not say anything about hot flashes specifically, but I was wondering if losing weight helps with it. My hot flashes have been bad for a while, and if anything helps, I'd like to know. Thank you.

I’m not sure about the link with weight loss injections and hot flashes but I was aware that overweight women appear to suffer from hot flashes more than those at a lower body weight. I think fat cells (adipose tissue) is thermogenic so it makes sense that of you lose weight, you may find you have fewer hot flashes.

Your hormone levels will change with significant weight loss.

It was the other way around for me - lost weight on Mounjaro and hot flashes - which I hadn't had for a year or so - came back with a vengeance.

I assumed it was the weight loss (around 4st at that point) and the lowering of fat meant lower estrogen and that was the point I started HRT.
