Hello, Peri-Menopause symptoms and dr has prescribed oestrogel and Utrogestan. I know to take the ultrogestan on day 15 of my next cycle, but I’m on day 20 so not due on for about a week. Do I start the oestrogel now on day 20 and just carry on through? Will my next period still come as usual? I guess I don’t want my cycle to get messed up before I’ve even started, but equally I’m desperate to start as I can’t keep feeling like this. Did you start the oestrogel right away? Any help or experience you’ve had is really appreciated thank you.

I’m also always keen for my period to arrive, as the part before it does is always the worst!

I started my oestrogen immediately and then took two utrogestan tablets from day 15 to 26. You basically need to take 24 utrogestan tablets two a day for 12 days then you will have a bleed. Or at least that is what is supposed to happen. I felt better within two to four weeks.

Thank you for your reply! That’s really reassuring hearing that you started to feel better so quickly. I’ve started the gel and am hoping for the best!
