Anyone else feel they are vibrating??

Ok, so for some time now I've had a feeling like I am vibrating inside. Definitely no exterior tremor and most noticeable at night time, though if I think about it I can feel it to some extent but most noticeable in my fingers.
At night I wake up and it is quite a strong feeling throughout my body, arms and hands.

I was getting a little concerned but have read it can be a menopause symptom...has anyone else experienced this??

Yep, it’s a menopause thing. I used to get into bed and feel like my whole body was trembling, like it was electrified. I still get it now some days if I’m having a lot of palpitations. HRT really helped it, in fact I didn’t realise it was a menopause thing until I started HRT and it went away

Booklovver · 20/10/2025 18:54

Yes I had this. I cannot remember how long it lasted, but it did pass.

Fairyvocals · 20/10/2025 19:00

Yep - I had this until I went onto the right HRT. It was so odd.

CrowMate · 20/10/2025 19:03

Yes! Am on HRT, but have been noticing it a lot recently.

Sarnpark · 20/10/2025 19:03

For me it feels like anxiety - shaking - is that what you mean? For me it comes and goes.

Soonenough · 20/10/2025 19:07

Not me but my sister used to feel like she was buzzing with an electric current. Amazing that it is only now women are discussing and comparing symptoms. There was little or no information when my mother was going through it . She later told me that she thought she was having a nervous breakdown.

Desperatelydoomscrolling · 20/10/2025 19:11

Omg I get this! I was so confused, literally like a small electric current buzzing, normally in my legs. Doesn't happen too often but it's so weird when it does. Thank you for the information, I had no idea it was a thing lol.

No for me it’s like a small vibration - like you’re humming.

Tryingatleast · 20/10/2025 21:04

Is it like pins and needles? I’ve gone to the gp for it and nobody mentioned it might be this if it is?

digitalisation · 24/10/2025 22:57

I get this too. I don’t think there’s a physical tremor but definitely a wee electric current going on inside

spiderlight · 24/10/2025 23:06

Yes, I get this - not all the time and mostly at night. It's as if my bones are vibrating.

begone25 · 24/10/2025 23:10

Yes, I’ve had this in the past. Had to check my phone wasn’t going off near my hip. I found electrolytes and magnesium (glycinate) helps

ADHDHDHDHD · 24/10/2025 23:13

Yes I used to before going on hrt. Very bizarre feeling and difficult to describe

CarpetKnees · 24/10/2025 23:49

Yes, I used to get this too.
Not a whole body thing - more like a phone vibrating next to the skin.
Just used to get it in my legs.

Dontsayyouloveme · 25/10/2025 00:05

I used get like electrical zaps/buzzes in my left buttock…. Stopped when I started HRT.

I’ve had a v stressful last 12 months and felt like my body was vibrating.. prob due to high cortisol.. but it’s anxiety rather than menopause.. but maybe menopause causes a rise in cortisol.

EconomyClassRockstar · 25/10/2025 01:06

In the vajayjay? Yes! I have always just presumed it had something to do with the nerves reconnecting years after an episiotomy. Or it was a message to my arse to get off it!
