Can anyone recommend a private menopause specialist?

I’m only 3 weeks into the evorel sequi patches but I don’t think these are right for me. Aside from the fact they haven’t really helped with my symptoms, which I’m aware can take time, I have a family history of breast cancer and some other cancers in my half siblings and paternal aunt. To add to matters, I was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 30, which seemed to settle after a laparoscopy.

Also, I’m 44 and for the past 3 years my periods have been every other month and now I’ve not had one since July. I was told by a Dr years ago when I have fertility treatment that my ovarian reserve was very low so it’s not much of a surprise.

My Dr doesn’t have a clue and it was a battle getting hrt because she insisted on 3 blood tests before even entertaining the idea. All 3 confirmed that my levels are low and the latest test dropped even further. I’ve tried a few things to avoid hrt but I’ve quickly realised this is what I need to get a grip on my symptoms and have my life back.

Can anyone recommend a specialist? I would like to have online consultations so not bothered where they are based so long as they offer this service.

Are you in London @Dizzyinheights? If so, there's a menopause clinic service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. I was referred there and seen under the NHS a few years ago, but there are also private services.

I’ve just booked with the same company on recommendation of a friend

No, @RedRosie I’m up North but thanks anyway.

Thank you for the recommendations I’ll have a look at them and hopefully get myself sorted.

I found my menopause specialist on the British menopausal society website there was quite a few in my area some did private as well as NHS clinics. It might be a looking into it on there because perhaps if you’re not happy with the GP you could always ask them for a referral consultation.
