Utrogestan Vaginal Use

I started on Utrogestan about six months ago, at first I had great periods after I stopped the monthly 12 days of tablets, however lately they have been reducing in length and almost disappearing.

I will admit I have been slightly nervous about how well absorbed the Utro would be inserting it vaginally. So just wondering if anybody else Utro this way has scans to check their womb lining is okay, and if you do how often do you do this, do you do it yearly?

Conscious, I’m going have to pay for this as I doubt my GP will accept doing such a test.

It's supposed to be absorbed more so that could be the reason for a lighter bleed. I don't see why your GP wouldn't allow a scan on the NHS if there has been a change in the bleeding pattern.

However, it's usually more concerning if there is spotting outside of the usual cycle.
