Is this a hot flush?

I am 52, still have regular periods but definitely entering perimenopause.

I haven’t had many symptoms apart from getting more dry all round.

Suddenly today I had the most almighty hot flush. It’s quite hard to describe but almost like you’re coming down with flu but in the space of a few mins. My face went bright red, my whole body felt boiling and I started sweating. I had to take off a few layers and only now am I cooling down.

is this a hot flush? If so, I really don’t want loads of these as it was horrific. Luckily I was at home - I would hate to get one of these in an important meeting!

And it’s left me feeling really shaky afterwards!

Yes. Horrendous. Mine stopped within 48 hours of starting HRT.

It was horrendous and has left me feeling really shit. I can’t imagine getting something like that on a hot tube for example. I’ll see how I go the rest of the week but if I’m going to have these regularly, I’m going to have to do something about them - glad to hear HRT sorts them
