Bedtime Progesterone when I work nights?

So first month of cyclic HRT.

I have done my 16 days of just oestrogen and now I start my 12 days of progesterone, 200mg at bedtime. Took first dose last night and it did knock me out, which is great. However, I work 2 nights a week, usually a Tuesday and a Saturday. How do I work this? I cant take before my shift if it's going to cause sleepiness.

Anyone else work nights and have found a solution?

I swapped to patches to avoid this issue.

There are two options -

First the reason to take it at bedtime is it can lower blood pressure and cause dizziness or drowsiness (not good at work or if driving.)

There is no other reason for taking it at bedtime.

You can use it vaginally (off licence- just insert 2 capsules as high as you can and ideally lie down for 30 mins so they dissolve and dont fall out.)

Or you can take them orally at a time to suit you.

You should try to keep to a 24 hour gap between the doses if you can otherwise you may get some slight spotting if you go a lot longer.
