Holiday and HRT

I have an appointment at a menopause clinic next week. I’m also going on a long saved for holiday in five weeks’ time. If I’m prescribed HRT would it be wiser to wait to start it after my holiday? I’m not sure what side effects I’m likely to experience. I’m now post menopausal as not had a period for two years.

For the first couple of months after starting HRT I had irregular bleeding, after not having a period for a couple of years, so for me I’d probably prefer to wait until after the holiday. But if your symptoms are pretty bad you may decide to just get started immediately.

@confusedlotsThank you. I was wondering if bleeding might be an issue even after a couple of years with no period. I think I might delay until after the holiday.
