Weight fluctuation - wtf

Approximately 10 days ago I was 9 stone 5. I've not done anything differently since then, no big meals out, or holiday, etc. I've been to the gym, I walk lots. Today I'm 9 stone 9. Is this normal in menopause? I just don't get what weighs 4 pounds more than last week! Does anyone else get this?

Assume you’re on HRT ?
progesterone in particular, I think, causes fluid retention. Not to mention fluctuating hormones affect metabolism and how our bodies store fat.
I’m much the same . Put on half a stone since altering HRT and not doing anything different ! I’m trying to convince myself it’s water retention !😂

No I'm not on HRT yet, still wondering whether to go on it as other symptoms haven't been too bad. I think I'll just avoid the scales from now on!

I weigh every day and take a weekly average because I do exactly what you’ve described. There is no reason why although I very much do expect it if it have eaten out or had a glass of wine.

I also find that drinking wine affects my weight. I don't drink Sunday-Thursday and weigh on Friday mornings when the water retention will have passed.

I have moved from sequential femoston to conti femoston tablets (lower dose). Since moved to conti seem to be experiencing weight gain. Definite bloating. I have never had to think about food intake but am now if I don't want to put on weight. I am 'allowing' myself to be a few pounds heavier and some days weight drops which to me indicates water retention an issue.
