Any recommendations for a vaginal moisturiser?

I'm on HRT and have been for 4 years. I currently do 3 pumps of gel and 2 Utrogestan vaginally. Sex is becoming quite painful initially and it has been for a few months now. It started just a slight discomfort but now I really need something to help. I'm not keen on a lubricant before intercourse and would like something I can use on a regular basis. I had a check up at a wellwoman clinic a while ago and the Dr gave me Zerobase as a moisturiser for that area but it isn't really easy to use. Is there something on the market that would suit my needs? X

You don't need a moisturiser, you need vaginal estrogen.

Cream or pessary- use daily for 14 days then 2 -3 times a week for ever!

From your GP or over the counter (but pricey) as Ovesse (cream) or Gina (pessary.)

I have been recommended Yes Vaginal moisturiser by a gynae physio. Its available on the NHS but i got mine from Amazon for ease, i have only been using for a couple of days so cant yet give a full review, but it does feel better.

A moisturiser does just that- it's a temporary fix but it won't help the vaginal walls to recover and regain their thickness, stretch and suppleness.
Many women use both.

Thank you, can I use the vaginal estrogen as well as my gel pumps? I'll give the surgery a call xx

I do have a history of endometriosis unfortunately so I best ask the GP. I was going to go ahead and order online 🙄 x

I agree with Jingling, you need vaginal oestrogen.

Yes, you can use it along with your gel. I do.

Yes, absolutely.
Loads of women do.

It is very, very weak.

Using it 2 x a week for a whole year is roughly the same amount of estrogen as 1 pump of gel (ie half your daily dose if you use 2 pumps.)

Endo isn't relevant.
