Advice with HRT

I started HRT 4 weeks ago. It has massively helped my brain fog and hot flushes and I feel me again. . But I am now having a proper period each week. Cramps, proper bleeding I need to use tampons for and the tiredness.

previously I hasn’t had a period for 108 days.

anyone experienced this? Is this something my body gets used to. Or is this it?

Consider getting a Mirena coil fitted. It was life changing for me! No progesterone, no mood swings, no periods.

This is not normal. No HRT should make you have a period weekly.

What sort are you on? If you've been given combined continuous too soon (before you're fully post menopause) that can cause spotting/bleeding for 6 months. 108 days is around 3 months. So you should be on cyclical HRT as you're still in peri.

If you're on cyclical (progesterone for half the month) you shouldn't get any bleeding other than once a month.

Mirena does not suit everyone as I understand it has synthetic hormones. Whereas the ideal is to have bio identical which are much better tolerated

Coil is life changing. This was exactly the reason I had one fitted.

I found the Mirena more tolerable than utrogestan.
