Vagifem - won't dissolve

Looking for advice/experiences please. I've been on vagifem about a year and at first it was great, no problems at all. Felt much better and no dryness. Recently had a Mirena fitted and started estriogel and my sleep is great, I feel less exhausted, no brain fog. However, I feel quite dry and also my libido has massively dropped off and I'm having a problem with vagifem not dissolving. I've tried inserting at different positions (high up/mid/lower), but sometimes up to 36 hours later they can be fished out almost totally undissolved.

Gynae told me to up the dose to daily, but that's not helped. I've tried adding water based lube to them when I insert but that does nothing. I am bleeding daily due to the Mirena settling which I thought might be messing it up.

I wondered about seeing if I can switch to the cream instead but wondered what others thought?

I’ve been on daily Vagifem for years which has been great but since developing (or recurring) urinary symptoms have switched to oestrogen cream with a smidgen of testosterone in it (prescribed by private menopause consultant). It’s fab, highly recommend.

Vagifem wasn’t good for me either, they would do exactly the same and never truly solved the dryness. I’m now on estrogen tablets as well as progesterone and testosterone for lack of libido. It’s taken 3 years to get it sorted but I’m finally moist and enjoying sex again.

I’m progesterone intolerant so on a specialised regime after seeing a specialist. Estrogen patches caused intermittent bleeding, it’s quite common, the tablets don’t do this and I’m much happier on them. Tostran, testosterone has been a game changer, after blood tests it transpired that I had very little of it. After just two weeks of taking it a switch turned on again, my sex drive is back, sometimes I’m banished to the spare bed, I’m wearing my husband out 🤣

I started vagifem because of urinary tract symptoms and stopped mine after a week and never came back. I never checked to see if they had dissolved or not
