Everol 50 "wearing off" by end of 3.5 days

I have been on Everol 50 for 8 months now, I change the patch around Sat 10am and Tue 10pm.

I am starting to get hot flashes creeping back towards the end of the patch in most noticeably early on Tuesday morning I wake around 5am very hot, otherwise Everol 50 seems to working well for the hot flashes?

What would be the next step?

Ask to try Everol 75? Wonder if that is a good idea if 50 is otherwise ok most of the week

Anyone had similar before?

Move to 75. You probably need more. I moved to 75 and symptoms improved. Anxiety was the worst symptom which took a long while to fix but did after 6 months on 75 mg

I have had the same problem, went to my GP few weeks ago and she said they had recently changed the adhesive - I had noticed they weren’t sticking quite as well.

Because I am 60 she was reluctant to up the dose to the 75mg as apparently it’s not recommended at my age.

We agreed to monitor it for a month with me being more careful with my application and spending less time soaking in the bath, unfortunately ☹️

Seems to be doing the trick as do feel a bit better this week.

Might just be coincidence but I was fine for almost 3 years so I think it must be connected and am hoping a few tweaks work as would be reluctant myself to take an increased dose.

@Back21970 I should probably also have put this info the OP, I am 56 and on continuous HRT.

Similar to yourself I am apprehensive about taking a higher dose for this one problem in case it introduces further problems.

I am currently applying patches to upper front of thigh, just because it is easily accessible to apply, wonder if better sticking, absorption elsewhere….

I have been on Evrol Conti for over four years and started on 50, then 75 and settled on 100 (2x50) three years ago with the help of a consultant my GP referred me to as at the time they couldn’t prescribe any higher dose. I am practically symptom free unless under the weather.
I apply above the buttocks/at hip level - varying sides, and my patches stay in place well. They frequently came loose on my thighs and buttocks.

I was recently having awful problems with my Evorel 75 patches after using them with no issues for several years. They were making my skin very sore and my symptoms were reappearing. After speaking to the practice nurse, I swapped back to the gel a couple of months ago and, after a rather rocky start, things have improved massively. In fact, I’ve actually dropped down to two pumps of gel a day so must be absorbing it better than the patches.
