Following on from the thread about smelling different, the thing that has happened that I didn’t expect is my clitoris has got smaller. I do have atrophy (now have vaginal estrogen) but I was not prepared for this!
Why is this not talked about when they tell you to have a hysterectomy? None of it was mentioned apart from hot flushes.
Does this happen to everyone? I would have started the vaginal estrogen earlier if I had known but maybe it would have got smaller anyway. I was already on patches but it still happened. Too embarrassed to ask anyone irl

You need some ovestin cream. Imo it works better than the oestrogen pessaries as its more soothing/moisturising and you can also rub a small amount on your vulva/clitoris to help 'plump things up' again.

I have this. Was gutted when I realised how small it had become and my orgasms were really weak and/or painful too. I started on testosterone, which has really helped with sensation (and brought back my magnificent 70s bush ) They will only prescribe it if you tell them you want it to help increase libido, not for any other effects on your energy/pleasure etc and I was told it wouldn’t help to restore my shrunken clit, but I do think its a bit fuller and at least isn’t painful or numb anymore. Goes with the hair loss and vulval changes.

Yeah, age 43 and I’ve noticed mine is smaller too. Pretty devastating tbh!
