Periods & PMT every 2 weeks - switch from utrogesten to mirena?

Hi all,
I started on HRT three months ago, with 50mg patches and utrogestan orally for 14 days per cycle. The main issue I was trying to solve was really bad premenstrual insomnia, anxiety & mood swings.

Now I find myself having two periods a month, one when I start the progesterone and one at the end, and the pre menstrual symptoms are all in full force for the first one (so guessing this is my ‘real’ period and the other is a heavy breakthrough bleed).

I’m wondering would the mirena be a better solution, where the progesterone is released gradually? Or should I give it another few cycles and see if it stabilises?

Grateful if anyone has any insights!

Mirena stopped my heavy periods altogether. I love it.
