I went on HRT. It’s about protecting your body for the future, not just lessening the symptoms you have now.

I started off using sage for hot flashes, then went on to a low dose ssri as I have a strong family history of breast and ovarian cancer so I'm not wanting to do hrt unless I absolutely have to. I told my employer and they let me wear lighter clothes.

I find work hardest as when I'm home I can go out for a walk if my mood changes, whereas in work you are stuck in the place until your finish time. I've just upped my dose of ssri as now I am missing periods and my symptoms are increasing as my hormones become more erratic.

I also take magnesium for sleep, b vits for energy and vitamin d in winter.
