I have also had anxiety over the years it’s come and gone . Childhood trauma and I guess a sensitive disposition generally though that’s fading in menopause.
Went to GP re this and was given antidepressants- I took them but truly they may have taken the edge off the anxiety at times but never really worked . l used exercise, eating well and cutting out alcohol & where possible reducing stressful events in my life then the menopause came and seemed to make the anxiety a lot worse. I’ve been given progesterone recently now this actually does seem to help with my anxiety! I’d slowly reduced the anti depressants now don’t take then at all.

I don’t think they helped with anxiety sure they are more for depression . Anyone else had similar experience.
Am just glad the anxiety is controlled now.
