Can HRT mess up symptoms?

Hoping someone with more knowledge or has advice please.

I have been peri for around 10 years, I’m now 45 and started hrt patches 6 months ago which helped most of the awful symptoms. Recently In the heatwave my patches kept falling off, I think this made my menstrual cycle mess up and periods was very two weeks, now I have missed one. I just have a main one that is concerning me.

Every day I keep getting muscle twitches in random parts of my body usually when resting. Also a dull ache in my biceps and thighs. Pins and needles too and dry skin patches on my arms and legs. No motivation. I use to have health anxiety,
but I don’t anymore so the doctors assume everything is that now.

I do have benign thyroid nodules and currently on a waiting list to have ablation, but the twitches are driving me insane.

You could try eating foods high in potassium and see if that helps the twitching - bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes for example - or take a supplement.
