I’m 43 still having regular periods but the last 6-12 months every other cycle I am either nauseous and headachy during ovulation or a few days before my period. I’m so lucky I never had PMT (cramps, sore boobs, nausea, spots etc) in my life. This nausea is awful it feels like morning sickness.

I’ve read it’s due to hormones fluctuating quickly. Not necessarily a loss of estrogen or progesterone. But… who knows?

I’m seeing my GP next week. Any advice or similar experience on what to ask for? Do I need low dose HRT? Or snti sickness tablets?

advice much appreciated thank you

I’d consider a Mirena coil. It should stop your periods, and so the nausea etc, and it’s the progesterone part of HRT if you decide to go onto it.

Am currently experiencing this just now, due my periods in a few days and since Wednesday I've been having nausea symptoms on and off, which does feel like morning sickness.

Pink migraleive has an antisickness medication in it along with cocodamol. So if you've got pain, it's great, as it deals with the nausea and the pain.

Otherwise, buy something like buccastem for the nausea as a temporary measure till you get sorted.
